Why the Ridge Tracker Card Is a Must-Have for Anyone Who's Ever Lost a Wallet

What we love
- Credit-card thin (1.6mm) — invisible in a slim wallet
- No batteries to buy — charges on your phone's Qi pad
- Works with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub
What bugs us
- Older units were Apple-only — confirm Android support on the listing
- Not waterproof enough to go swimming with (IP68 is splash/dunk)
Here’s how losing a wallet goes: pat pockets, pat again, check the car, retrace steps, panic, call the bank, cancel four cards, wait a week for replacements, go to the DMV. A Ridge Tracker Card turns all of that into “open the app, walk to the bar you just left.”
1. It’s actually thin enough to disappear
At 1.6mm, the Tracker Card is about the thickness of two credit cards. It slides into a Ridge Wallet (or any card slot) and you forget it’s there. That’s the whole difference between this and an AirTag, which adds a noticeable bulge to any slim wallet.
2. You never buy batteries
The 155mAh battery is rated for up to about 10 months per charge, and it charges on any Qi or MagSafe charger — the same pad your phone sits on every night. Drop the card on it a couple of times a year and you’re set.
3. It works on iPhone and Android
The card plugs into Apple Find My on iPhone, and Ridge now also lists support for Google Find Hub on Android. Both networks use nearby phones to anonymously report your card’s location, so in a city your wallet gets pinged constantly. You get real-time location, left-behind alerts, and a lost mode so anyone who finds it can contact you.

4. The ringer is loud
At 95dB, the locator ringer cuts through couch cushions, car seats and gym bags. Ridge rates the Bluetooth range at up to about 300ft (90m) in open space.
5. It’s tough
IP68 water and dust resistance means it survives the rain, a spilled drink, and the occasional trip through the laundry (don’t make a habit of it).
Who should skip it
- Android users buying an older unit. Ridge’s current listing supports Google Find Hub, but some older support docs say Apple-only. Confirm before you buy, or look at the Tile Slim.
- People who hate charging stuff. A non-rechargeable card like Chipolo may suit you better.
