The cheapest roadside insurance you'll ever buy.

What we love
- Cordless and under 1 lb: it actually stays in the car
- Auto shut-off at your target PSI
- Presets for car, motorcycle, bike and balls
What bugs us
- Slow on big truck and off-road tires
- You have to remember to charge it
Picture it: 10pm, tire light on, the gas station air machine is “out of order,” and you’re doing 40 on the highway praying. The AstroAI L7 cordless tire inflator exists so that’s never you again.
1. It’s small enough to always be there
The best inflator is the one in your car when you need it. The L7 weighs under 1 lb and fits in a glovebox or door pocket. No hose reel, no cord, no trunk space sacrificed. It just lives there.
2. No cord, no clamps, no drama
It runs on a built-in 4000mAh battery. You don’t need the engine running, you don’t need to find the 12V socket, and you don’t need a cord long enough to reach the rear tire. Per AstroAI, one charge can top up around 8 car tires from 30 to 36 PSI.
3. Set it and walk away
Dial in your target on the digital TrueGauge screen, press start, and the L7 shuts itself off when it hits it. No hovering, no guessing, no overinflating.
4. It’s not just for the car
Four presets (car, motorcycle, bicycle, ball) plus a custom mode, and it reads in PSI, Bar, kPa or kg/cm². It goes up to 150 PSI, so road bike tires are covered too. Your kid’s soccer ball, your mountain bike, your truck’s spare: one tool.
5. The flashlight is clutch
Tires go flat at night. That’s the law. The built-in flashlight means you can find the valve stem without holding your phone in your teeth.
6. It costs less than a tow
At roughly $40–60 at time of writing, it’s cheaper than one roadside assistance call and way cheaper than driving on a low tire and killing it.
Who should skip it
- Big-truck and off-road guys. Airing up 33s after a trail run is a job for a bigger pump like the VIAIR 88P or the ETENWOLF VORTEX S6.
- Guys who’ll never charge anything. If you want zero maintenance, a 12V plug-in like the EPAuto never runs flat.

How to use it right
- Go by your door-jamb sticker. The PSI printed on the tire sidewall is the max, not the target. Your car’s correct pressure is on the sticker inside the driver’s door.
- Check tires cold. Readings climb after driving.
- Give it breaks. Small inflators get hot on long runs. If a tire is very low or you’re doing all four, let it rest between tires.
- Top up the battery. Charge it every couple of months so it’s ready when you are.
The verdict
If your car doesn’t have a portable inflator, it’s missing the cheapest piece of roadside insurance you can buy. The AstroAI L7 is small, cordless, idiot-proof and cheap. Buy it, charge it, forget it’s there until the night you really need it.
